About Saddle Company

Saddle Company is located at Molenpoortstraat 4, in the heart of the castle town of 's-Heerenberg in the Netherlands.

's-Heerenberg is a city on the Dutch-German border, in the Province of Gelderland, Netherlands. It is located about 5 km north of the German Emmerich, and about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of Doetinchem. It received city rights in 1379.

's-Heerenberg is the location of one of the most important castles of the Netherlands: Huis Bergh. The Huis Bergh contains a panel of the Archangel Gabriel from the famous altar piece Maestà by Duccio. The castle is surrounded to the west by a forest, part of the larger nature reserve Bergherbos.

Since the early 1990s, Promotor has been plotting its so-called TankTasTochten (tank bag tours). The name dates from the pre-GPS era, when riders found their way along back roads with a roadbook in the tank bag or a roll chart.

This TankTasTocht starts at the McDonald’s in Doetinchem and follows mostly beautiful back roads through the Achterhoek to the finish in Zutphen.

This TankTasTocht starts and finishes in Doesburg and runs mainly along beautiful narrow roads through the Achterhoek. Just ride and enjoy. Along the way you pass through Wehl, 's-Heerenberg, Gendringen and Steenderen.
